:hair: (WWW) A somewhat humorous account of an experimental busking performance of Super Mario in Times Square has concluded.
mario.jpg
"A stream of passengers walked by, searching for anything to look at other than the 32-year-old man struggling to fit an egg-shaped cardboard headpiece imprinted with the visage of a Nintendo mascot. All I wanted was to leave Times Square with just $1 but that may have been asking too much" says Luke Winkie.

"Then I saw the competition...Spiderman, Sonic the Hedgehog, a pair of twin Minnie Mouses and some sort of monster had come into view."

Momma mia!
That's a spicy meat-ta-balla!
Then check into therapy.

:disguise: (SEATTLE) As far as Seattle is concerned, you're a star awaiting your new reserved pitch in Soundtransit's transport hubs. Their blog announces the Sounds of the Sound program expanding options for serious buskers.

Interestingly enough, the world of busking is making a comeback after the horrendous covid19 global shutdown from a few years back. This severely affected the shopping and hospitality industries not to mention the performing arts.

A big black and white star adorns the pitch where buskers are free to express themselves and accept tips without hassles.

“The buskers are great,” wrote one blog post. “They make the station feel more like a destination, not just a place to pass through. Keep on supporting them.”

:guitar: (LONDON) The story of busker James Bowen and his cat Bob has snowballed into an impressive miracle.
bob.png
Reported here on Busker Central in November of 2012, the story was first picked up by the London press and spread around the world. The result is selling over 300,000 books and now a feature length sequel.

You can view the high-fiving feline in the inspiring film now streaming on various platforms including the free Tubi.

Played by actor James Treadaway, Bowen and the friendly orange tabby live on forever in film and lore.

There is a sad note concerning James the busker. Somehow, he is about to be homeless once again. Why? Bob the cat is no longer with us pushing James back into the world of drugs and, understandably, depression.
