(LONDON) "Whether it be organ grinders, fiddle players, bagpipers, accordions or Romany street singers, traditional music was always a fixture in day to day London life in the early 20th century."So says the London Evening Standard's article and slideshow featuring London buskers through the years.

The streets of London have been a training ground for many artists over the years.

Some buskers have been successful at becoming famous starting with their performance in the street.

(ASPEN) Let us take a Summer stroll up to Aspen and see how the buskers are faring.In this sleepy little hamlet high above the madding crowds lies four downtown city blocks and the high-end shopping district. Within the red bricked lanes are planters, evergreens, grass, trees, and benches. Classic streetlamps light the way and no cars are allowed. The style was influenced by Boulder and it's mall on Pearl Street.

In Aspen (or "Hollyweed" as the locals call it), you can find many buskers plying their art. Why, you may even run into a "moobie star" out shopping at any given time. The famous four ski lifts long quiet, people are finding Colorado in the Summertime rather interesting, fun, and something out of the ordinary.

My first busking experience was in Sept. 20-21, 2008. At the Festival of The Senses in Clinton Township, Michigan and what an experience it was. It was the first event i'd done outdoors and at a large event. The director was very nice to me by letting me have 10x10 space for free insted of paying $200 for it. I didn't do it for tips though I did advertised a lot. Right now I'm planning on next year's busk and with help from a friend of mine from New Orleans who is a street perfoming magician and I'm going to his lecture on Oct.4th. (SEATTLE) It takes one glance any day of the week to see lots of buskers performing at Seattle, Washington's Pike Place Market. The popular and colorful water-front marketplace is alive and well.Busker Central reporters recently visited the scene and observed that street-performers were literally on every block. Pianos, guitars, saxophones, and clarinets were all making music leaving the possibility wide open for larger circle shows. Although the pitches are now permitted, some performers had been busking the market for over 10 years.

A huge tourist mecca, Pike Place Market is also home to the first Starbucks coffee shop. The line to enjoy a cup of java was well outside the door and down the block. Beside the line, a guitarist was busy performing classic rock songs and really seemed to be enjoying himself. Down...
